Random Acts of Kindness

In November 2021 we challenged family, friends, and coworkers to complete random acts of kindness during the week of Breanna’s birthday. Flowers were delivered, donations made, urgently needed items were gathers for the Mustard Seed and the Calgary Drop in Center, coffees were bought, gift cards were left on windshields, groceries were purchased for strangers, and the list goes on.

During this time, we were reminded of the small things Breanna did all the time to show others she cared. We heard stories from coworkers about bouquets she delivered to their houses, lunches she made, rocks she gave, and notes she wrote.

Often times we forget how far a little kindness can go. Through this initiative we were reminded about the importance of kindness and the impact it can have on another’s life.

Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change.
